The “Close Seconds” to the Best of 2018: Professional Development, a Solo Trip, and a Foray into the Big Screen

This may sound self-indulgent, but this year, I decided to tick off things on my bucket list— took trainings in RIE and Reggio that I’ve been following for ages, went back to Grad school to pursue a second Master’s degree, and in between, took off on a solo trip in Italy... In so doing this and that, bringing about more damage to my bank account this year than I’ve done in the past decade— imagine what fun that has been lol.

I sang at beautiful events, and had a chance to see myself on the big screen— something I never even thought I’d be able to do, less have the courage to pursue. In doing the latter, I find myself coming full circle in discussing social issues I’ve been passionate about, yet have been unable to act upon, in the past years. Overall, 2018 brought me opportunities to work harder and be better.

A special thanks to my colleagues Baumhaus , ME2 Productions , @joa.de.joaillerie , the team at Golden Scene Co. Ltd. - Film , the 香港亞洲電影節 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival , and all the partners I got to work and develop professionally with, this year.

There was something far better than all these, though... The “Best Thing That Happened In 2018” is coming up next!
